This strategy aims to bridge the gap between the requirements and the reality of effective women's participation in the environmental sector (with a focus on water and solid waste management) on one hand, and their contribution to decision-making in this vital sector to achieve sustainable and effective management based on international and national principles on the other hand. Through analyzing the reality based on preliminary study and various other studies, the strategy analyzes the causes and reasons for this gap to establish interventions, policies, and various objectives to bridge that gap.
