Concluding observations of the initial report submitted by Tunisia under article 8 paragraph 1 of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict

The present report was prepared in accordance with article 8, paragraph 1, of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict (hereinafter referred to as “the Optional Protocol”). It identifies measures taken to implement the provisions of the Optional Protocol. It reflects the increased attention paid to child survival, protection and development and describes the mechanisms that have been established to prevent children’s involvement in armed conflict.
