January 2011
The Lebanese government adopted the National Strategy for Women in Lebanon (2011-2021), which includes social, economic, political, legal, educational, cultural, and environmental reforms that will help to achieve gender equality and protect women and girls from all forms of discrimination and violence.
To execute the National Strategy for Women in Lebanon (2011-2021), the National Commission for Lebanese Women (NCLW) drafted a National Action Plan 2017-2019 (NAP) to define attainable goals for different local and national authorities and institutions, as well as international partners.
