The UAE NAP for the implementation of UN SCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security

The UAE was the first GCC country to launch a national program to support the UN Agenda on Women, Peace, and Security. The UAE National Action Plan aims to:

• respond to gender perspectives in foreign policies.
• prevent and combat violent extremism.
• plan for emergency response and crisis situations.
• incorporate gender analysis into the scope of international peace efforts.
• promote gender equality in humanitarian aid.
• achieve effective participation of women in conflict prevention.
• increase women’s participation in peacebuilding.
• train women military officers.
• enhance women's participation in politics in the country.
