Consideration of the third and fourth periodic reports submitted by Algeria under Article 44 of the Convention (CRC)

In accordance with Guidelines for reporting by States Parties, the present reportcombines the third and fourth periodic reports of Algeria, and is divided into two main parts:

• Part One, entitled “General information and the replies of the Algerian government to the Committee's concerns and recommendations”, outlines the general political structure of Algeria and describes the context in which human rights were promoted and protected. It also contains the Algerian Government’s replies to the observations and comments made by the members of the Committee when the second periodic report was presented.
• Part Two contains information on the substantive provisions of the Convention in relation to which changes have taken place.
