The Sultanate of Oman ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women by a Royal Decree (42/2005), and the instrument of ratification was deposited in February 2006. The Ministry of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman has prepared this booklet to give an overview of the Convention and to facilitate work on the implementation of its articles in order to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women.
