This national strategy aimed to achieve a consensual vision entitled “A Palestinian society in which men, women, girls and boys enjoy citizenship rights and equal opportunities, in the public and private spheres.” From this vision emerged a set of measurable strategic objectives related to protection, empowerment and institutionalization.
The strategy aimed in general to reach a common framework among all the institutions concerned in promoting equality, gender justice and women's empowerment, in which it defines all the interventions carried out by official, civil and international institutions, the private sector, unions and trade unions.
