The Palestinian government has started the sectoral strategic planning process since the beginning of 2016, according to a working methodology approved by the Council of Ministers to integrate sectoral planning processes with the preparation of the medium-term budget. This methodology is based on a set of policy foundations regulating the process of preparing sectoral and cross-sectoral strategies, budget programs and medium-term budgets.
This strategy was prepared under the leadership of the Ministry of Women's Affairs and with the support of UN Women.
