The report is divided into two parts, in accordance with the International Committee's guidelines for the preparation of initial and periodic reports:

Part I: The common core document, which includes:

  • Basic information and indicators about the Arab Republic of Egypt.

  • The constitutional, political and legal structure of the Egyptian Government.

  • The general framework for the protection and promotion of human rights in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Part II: Observations on the Articles of the Convention, which includes:

  • National legal application of the articles of the Convention, applied practices, substantive measures taken, and mechanisms implemented to achieve the objectives of the Convention and fulfill its articles.

  • Government efforts regarding the optimal application of the articles of the International Convention, the law and the executive regulations.
