Tunisia’s national strategy on migration (in French only)

July 2017

The Tunisian National Strategy for Migration includes all developments related to the migration of Tunisians and refers to the human rights values entrenched in the second republic's constitution and in bilateral and multilateral agreements related to migration. The strategy pays special attention to Tunisians living abroad to protect their rights and to actively involve them in the political and economic transitional processes of the country.

The national strategy for migration has been decreed with the following main themes:

  1. Protection of rights of migrants.
  2. The inclusion of migration in development.
  3. Bilateral and multilateral partnerships and support of international organizations, the EU and UN agencies.
  4. The promotion of diversity through an inter-ministerial committee that is headed by the Ministry of Culture.
