The fourth periodic report of Oman presents the progress made towards the empowerment of women in the Sultanate through the articles of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW)
The report follows the guidelines under the international human rights treaties, in terms of the form and content, including the guidelines on a core document and treaty-specific documents (HRI/GEN/2/Rev.6) as recommended by the Committee (para. 64), and according to the guidance note on reporting under article 18 of the Convention in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by CEDAW in November 2019.
